Peart Group About us now... 2004 New government legislation and increasing concern for disabled and low mobility members of the public led to the establishment of Pearts Access Ramps in 2004. The company produces flexible, durable and affordable modular ramps and has grown into a thriving national business, covering everything from local council buildings to large national complexes. (School security fencing) 2005 2005 saw an increase in the need for skilled and manual workers for the fencing division, so Pearts took the plunge to employ Polish workers. From this acorn the mighty Baltic Recruitment Services grew, specialising in recruiting Polish, Eastern European and other EU workers for UK companies. 2006 Two brand new Peart companies arrived in 2006 – Baltic Training Services and Diesel Fleet Services. Baltic Training Services was established after Pearts won a Learning and Skills Council contract for 'facilitating female progression' and putting 'males into non-traditional occupations'. With the help of Grants First, this business has flourished, providing vocational training and assessments to both the employed and unemployed across the country. Diesel Fleet Services was set up as a joint venture with UK Fuels, offering fuel cards to a wide variety of customers at below pump prices. It now buys and sells hundreds of thousands of litres of fuel each week. 2007 In 2007 the fuel division continued to thrive, buying its 35th tanker. After toying with the idea of starting up a gate company alongside the fencing division, the opportunity to buy Cannock Gates UK Ltd arose in 2007, and by March, it came under The Peart Group umbrella. Specialising in timber and metal driveway and estate gates for all budgets, Cannock Gates has become an important member of The Peart Group, with Colin Stead appointed as MD. 2008 Now in its 85th anniversary year, The Peart Group has come a long way since 1923. Once a coal merchants delivering by horse and cart, it now has three managing directors, over 180 members of staff nationally, and divisions in fuel, training, fencing, access ramps, fleet cards, recruitment and gates.
